The countdown is underway to this year’s IOE graduation ceremony on Wednesday 25th May at London’s historic Mansion House.

For those of you who have not attended before this is our annual showcase for our students and professional qualifications. Student presentations are punctuated by industry giants speaking and sharing their knowledge of international trade. The event will be attended by more than 200 guests including students who have succeeded in demonstrating a high level of skill in a wide-range of our international qualifications – and who represent a diverse range of employers across a variety of sectors.

The colourful celebration of their achievements will be followed by an evening reception and the opportunity to network with major stakeholders from the world of international trade including UKTI, UKEF and the Worshipful Company of World Traders.

Our annual graduation reflects the Institute’s appreciation of the dedication and commitment our students have put into their studies – and gives them an opportunity to meet their peers, employers and international trade leaders.

As most students balance their studying with work commitments, their achievements are all the more impressive. This year’s graduates hail from organisations including Amber Road, Barclays, Fedex, HSBC, Invest NI, Kuehne + Nagel, Mothercare, Nissan, Norsk Global, Ramsden International, RBS, Scottish Enterprise, Sports Direct, UKEF, UKTI, Vauxhall and Wesco Aircraft Corporation.

The evening, which runs from 5-8pm, will be presented by Sheriff Charles Bowman, Alderman of the Ward of Lime Street, in the City of London. It will include welcome speeches by our Director General, Lesley Batchelor OBE, and our President, Jim Davis CBE, will introduce other dignitaries and keynote speakers, including Louis Taylor, CEO of UK Export Finance.

Lesley Batchelor said: “We are incredibly proud of our students’ hard work and their achievements clearly demonstrate that businesses understand and agree with the need for embedded professionalism in international trade – and recognise that our globally acknowledged qualifications equip students with the necessary skills, knowledge and expertise to work effectively in this sector.”
