The Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) at the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs posted the following notice at 11am today (29 October):
"We would like to inform you that Sevington Border Control Post (BCP) is currently experiencing delays in processing plant health (phytosanitary) inspections. This is due to a high volume of complex consignments received over the past 24 hours, which has resulted in a temporary backlog.
"Our teams are working diligently to manage and clear the outstanding inspections as quickly and efficiently as possible for these high-risk goods. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this period and remain committed to maintaining high standards of service.
