EU Customs Reform (beyond de minimis)

This session will explore the EU Customs Reform beyond the removal of the €150 de minimis threshold, focusing on the broader transformation of the EU Customs Union. In particular, we will examine the move towards a data-driven customs model, including the introduction of a central EU Customs Data Hub and a new EU Customs Authority, as well as enhanced EU-level risk management and strengthened obligations for businesses and online platforms. We will consider how these developments are expected to reshape traditional customs processes and discuss what lies ahead for businesses as the reforms take shape in practice.

Agenda

  • EU Customs Reform: Beyond de minimis – what’s changing
  • Data Hub & EU Customs Authority
  • Shift to data‑driven customs
  • Business and compliance impact
  • What lies ahead
