We celebrate the news that Sun Mark MD, Dr Rami Ranger MBE – who is up for election in November as Vice President of The Institute of Export – has received another prestigious national accolade.

Dr Rami has won The Institute of Directors (IOD) high-profile ‘Director of the Year’ award in the Large Company category.

Launched in 1985 by Dr Rami, the Middlesex based marketing and distribution business in the fast moving consumer goods sector has been listed in the Sunday Time’s Profit Track 100 since 2010 – and is also featured in the Sunday Time’s Top Track 250.

The IOD judging panel said Dr Rami’s combination of high ethical standards, consideration for the welfare of the company’s staff and focus on customer satisfaction comprised an outstanding combination which set him apart.

This honour comes hot on the heels of Sun Mark receiving a special award at the Queen’s Award for Enterprise Gala Dinner hosted by the Institute of Export for being the only company to have been awarded the Queens Award for Enterprise for five consecutive years.

Institute of Export Director General Lesley Batchelor said: “We congratulate Rami and the team. Sun Mark’s powerful success record has resulted in the business selling to 107 countries and posting a 35 per cent year-on-year growth in export sales for the last three years. The award is richly deserved and we look forward to working with Rami and his team for many more years to come.”
