UK goods exports to the EU continue to be affected by difficult business conditions, including inflation, supply chain disruption and regulatory change. Businesses have also been required to grapple with new customs rules and processes following the UK’s departure from the EU.

According to ONS figures published on 13 March 2024, exports to the EU decreased by 1.3% in the three months to January 2024, while trade with the EU has generally remained below 2019 levels since the start of the pandemic in 2020.

In this free webinar from the Institute of Export & International Trade, in partnership with Groupe BBL, trade experts will look at how businesses can manage and optimise their customs processes to reboot their exports to the EU and boost their profits from trade.

The one-hour session will cover:

  • A recap of post-Brexit customs requirements for exports to the EU
  • Practical advice on how to manage these new customs processes
  • How to use customs special procedures to maximise export efficiency
  • How best to work with logistics partners and customs intermediaries
  • Solutions to common customs quandaries when exporting to the EU

The webinar will include a live Q&A.
