IOE&IT Digital Trade Report Launch

15 March 2022 – Church House, Westminster, London

The IOE&IT launched their digital trade report, entitled Trade Data and Digitalisation, in Westminster. An exclusive event for members, the unveiling of the report was a blend of enthusiastic networking, wine and capapes with great conversation and featuring the (virtual) presence of then-Minister for Exports, Mike Freer MP.

 

IOE&IT Graduation Ceremony 2019-21

4th October 2021 - Mansion House, London

Our 2019-21 Graduation Ceremony was held at London’s prestigious Mansion House, celebrating 1500 learners across two years, after the 2020 ceremony had to be cancelled due to the Covid pandemic.

The Institute hosted this showpiece event celebrating the achievements of winners in the International Trade category of The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise.

 

UK Customs Academy launch

18th September 2019 - House of Commons, London

The IOE&IT's Vice President, Lord Empey OBE, kindly hosted the launch of the world's first Customs Academy at the House of Commons. The prestigious event was a fitting occasion for the launch of this important project.

 

Summer Drinks Reception 2019

Newcastle World Trade Summit 2018

The Institute of Export & International Trade’s regional trade summit programme rebooted for 2018 in Newcastle on March 13^th.

As ever, there was plenty of regional pride on show, and given the publicity around the government’s Northern Powerhouse project, plenty of ambition too.

Coventry Summit 2017

13th November 2017 - RICOH Arena, Coventry

The Institute hosted its last trade summit of 2017 and once again it featured practical advice and insights around what the UK’s exporters can do to continue to grow overseas despite the risks bought about by Brexit.

While many of the year’s trade summits have voiced concern about the severity of Brexit's potential impact on the UK's position international trade, the summit in Coventry was perhaps the most positive in outlook, memorable for a can-do approach to overcoming the challenges ahead.

 

 

Cambridge Summit 2017

9th November 2017 - Moller Centre, Cambridge

The Institute hosted a regional trade summit in Cambridge and once again there was plenty of fascinating thought leadership on display.

While previous trade summits have had a strong focus on Brexit this summit included more discussion around the fundamentals of export including intellectual property, customs compliance and competency, and how positive marketing and trade show presence overseas can create opportunities for UK businesses.

 

 

Members' Dinner 2017

A packed audience enjoyed a wealth of networking opportunities and first class entertainment from engaging guest speaker, Michael Portillo, at our annual Members’ Dinner.

The vibrant event to celebrate professionalism in international trade was attended by IOE&IT members and fellow exporters spanning wide-ranging sectors along with key individuals and organisations that guide and support them.

South West Summit 2017

Our latest World Trade Summit once again saw businesses get together to share ideas and sketch out plans for how to approach Brexit as we enter a new era of a more ‘Global Britain’. Run in partnership with the University of Plymouth’s Institute for Social, Policy and Enterprise Research, the summit highlighted the need for the UK to invest in its export skills and embrace it’s creativity and ingenuity.
