Trade sanctions against Russia

Complying with
sanctions on Russia

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on Wednesday 23 February has drawn a swift international response from western economies, including the UK.

This response includes what prime minister Boris Johnson is calling a “massive package” of trade sanctions against Russia to ensure the invasion ends in economic failure.

The IOE&IT is working directly with government to ensure traders have access to information, advice and guidance. As part of this effort, the IOE&IT has been updating members on the latest news through the Daily Update and hosted a free on ‘How to comply with sanctions on Russia’ on Wednesday 2 March.
