Training courses from the Institute of Export & International Trade are now being conducted online, giving businesses and their staff the opportunity to improve key export skills while working from home.

Though Covid-19 is impacting daily lives, the UK’s Brexit transition period is still due to end on December 31 this year, with the PM signalling that he is not currently seeking an extension to the implementation period.

Fully fundable by government grants, the Institute’s training courses allow companies to gain key skills such as completing customs declarations, proving origin and using the updated ICC Incoterms® 2020 rules.

The Institute also offers a range of other online and remote learning options, including the UK Customs Academy, International Trade Surgeries and Masterclass Webinars.

This includes a free-to-attend Open to Export webinar to be broadcast tomorrow (26th March) on what exporters and importers need to do to mitigate the impact of Covid-19 on their international trade.

The Institute is also running a new programme of International Trade Surgeries allowing businesses to phone IOE&IT experts for in-depth analysis of their current trade processes and protocols. The experts will help users to design a bespoke report and action plan based on their needs.
