DEFRA has released technical notices outlining its preparations for a no-deal Brexit. This is the latest such release as the government amps up work being done in case a deal is not reached with the EU.
The government continues to insist that it does not want or expect a no deal scenario to occur. It describes preparing for all scenarios as the act of a 'responsible government'.
Their technical notices are designed to provide businesses and individuals with more information on the considerations they should undertake in the case of a ‘no deal’ Brexit.
The DEFRA notices of interest to exporting businesses include:
- Manufacturing and marketing fertilisers
- Geographical Indicators
- Food labelling and compositional standards
