With just three months to go until the end of the UK’s transition from EU customs rules, the Institute of Export & International Trade is to play host to Export Minister Graham Stuart MP (pictured above, right) in a live interview on Wednesday 7 October at 2pm.

Under the banner of ‘An export-led recovery’, IOE&IT director general Marco Forgione (above left) will interview the minister on subjects ranging from government financial help for exporters and measures for retailers to ways of combating the rise of protectionism.

IOE&IT members are invited to attend free of charge by registering here and also to submit questions ahead of the interview on the same form.

Forgione said:

“The role of IOE&IT members has never been more important with EU negotiations entering their final stages, the new Japan free trade agreement signed and progress being made in talks with the US, Australia and New Zealand.

“With fewer than 90 days to go until the end of the transition period, this is an ideal opportunity to hear directly from the Minister for Export.”

The IOE&IT’s director general said he was “particularly keen to hear the UK government’s plans to turbo-charge UK exports and understand how the IOE&IT can support government and the wider UK economy in the new trading environment.”
