“I found the Masterclass format, delivering the essentials of international trade in digestible, bite-sized chunks in under two hours, very suited to learning from home.”

Masterclass delegate Nathan Flower, Brexit support process manager at engineering firm BGB

BGB  develop, design and manufacture total engineering solutions for service companies, distributors and OEMs, predominantly in the renewable energy sectors. It exports to mainland Europe, China, Brazil, USA, Australia, as well as other countries, and the Institute of Export & International Trade’s training courses were a key reason it became a corporate member.

“I’ve been charged with preparing us for Brexit and the Masterclass format is particularly suitable for me to learn from home during the lockdown,” says Nathan Flower, Brexit support process manager at BGB Innovation. “I listened to two webinars last week and three the week before.  I’ll catch up with the detail by downloading the recordings from the Institute’s webinar library.

“I found the Masterclass on Customs Declarations especially useful as it delivered advice that I know will ensure our goods don’t get held up at ports – now and when the UK’s transition from the EU ends.

“I’m new to a lot of this complex detail and the online masterclasses’ informal format allows me to concentrate on the subject matter away from the normal hustle and bustle in the office. I will apply my new learnings to our current practices and feed these in to a new way of going forward”
