The Institute of Export & International Trade (IOE&IT) is relaunching its technical advice service as a real-time telephone service.
The International Trade Technical Helpline has been developed following member feedback and is available as an exclusive benefit of IOE&IT Business Membership.
Covering queries about all aspects of international trade, including imports as well as exports and relating to any size or type of business, the specialist helpline offers a direct line into the Institute's team of 70-plus experts.
The International Trade Technical Helpline replaces the previous IOE&IT helpdesk system of online submission by web form with expertise on-demand, at the point of need.
‘Real-time enhancement’
Marco Forgione, the IOE&IT’s director general, said the Institute was upgrading its technical advice service after consulting its members.
“It’s clear from talking to our members that what they value is being able to connect with the Institute’s vast array of knowledge and expertise in international trade,” Forgione said.
“We’ve enhanced this service to make it real-time because we understand the pressures our Business Members are under given the rapidly-changing regulatory environment. From simple to complicated queries, members will get answers – and fast.”
He added that the IOE&IT was “investing heavily to provide this enhanced helpline”.
The service
Business Members – including linked affiliate members – can contact the service from 8.30am-5pm Monday-Thursday and 8.30am-4pm on Fridays.
On contacting the helpline, members will be put in touch directly with a subject matter expert ready to deal with their query and signpost to further help if necessary.
