Our Customs SIG provides members with essential updates, policy insights, and a platform to collaborate on the challenges and opportunities shaping the customs landscape.

The upcoming meeting will feature Anna Doherty, Senior Trade and Customs Specialist, delivering an expert-led presentation and discussing:

  • The impact of the removal of the safety and security waiver.
  • The transition to the final state rules of NCTS5.

They will also facilitate an open discussion, inviting members to share their experiences and challenges, such as navigating the implementation of the Customs Declaration Service (CDS). This interactive session aims to identify key areas for improvement and innovation within the sector.

Discussion points:

Q1 - Have you seen any impact of safety and security waiver removal on your imports from the EU? Have you had any consignment delays or seen increased costs for your movements and/or declarations?

Q2 - What would you say are the biggest challenges your business faces relating to customs both at the border and post-clearance?
