UK & EU EPR: Focus on the new EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR)

This special interest group provides members operating within the manufacturing industry priority access to the latest information, policy updates, and education relevant to your sector and a network of like-minded individuals with whom you can discuss challenges and solutions to the issues impacting your business during live virtual breakout rooms.

This SIG session will explore Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) frameworks in the UK and the EU, with a particular focus on the EU EPR transition to Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) that entered into force in February 2025 and will apply from 12 August 2026. We will look at how the frameworks align and diverge and what are the possible implications of the regulatory changes.

The upcoming meeting will feature Ilona Sara Kawka, Senior digital trade & Customs Consultant, delivering an expert-led presentation.

When: 10am-10:45am BST, Wednesday 20 May 2026
