Lunchtime Learning: Trade remedies – key considerations and FAQs

Member exclusive event

Duration:

1 Hour

Location:

Online Only

Start Date:

3 Dec 2025 12:00 pm

End Date:

3 Dec 2025 1:00 pm

With global trade flows uprooted this year by escalating tariffs and other protectionist measures, countries are increasingly needing to act fast to prevent re-routed trade from negatively impacting their domestic industries.

National governments use trade remedies to defend businesses from unfair overseas imports. Also known as 'trade defence instruments', they include anti-dumping, countervailing and safeguard measures. In the UK, the Trade Remedies Authority (TRA) investigates what new remedies may be needed to protect British businesses.

This Lunchtime Learning webinar on 3 December will give Chartered Institute members insight into the growing importance of trade remedies and how the TRA is currently approaching protecting UK industry. It will also give advice on how to stay up to date on new measures being introduced and practical guidance on how to ensure compliance.

When: 12:00 – 13:00 GMT, Wednesday 3rd December 2025

Where: Microsoft Teams

Delegates are invited to send questions in advance to editor@export.org.uk. A list of the main topics and FAQs to be discussed in this webinar will be circulated in late September.
