Lunchtime Learning: The General Product Safety Regulation

Member exclusive event

Duration:

1 Hour

Location:

Online Only

Start Date:

12 Dec 2024 12:00 pm

End Date:

12 Dec 2024 1:00 pm

On 13 December, a new set of EU regulations will change the way you sell your goods to Europe.

The General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) comes into effect in late December. Under this new set of rules, many industries will now have to follow new standards on safety, consumer rights and accountability. This includes the new requirement for many companies to have an authorised representative in the EU.

Failure to follow these new rules could that you can't sell your goods in Europe or incur serious fines of tens of thousands of Euros.

Join us on this final Lunchtime Learning session of 2024 to learn:

  • What the GPSR means for your business
  • How to continue shipping your goods to Europe
  • What to watch out for when considering who to appoint as your authorised representative
  • Any additional changes to European consumer law coming up later in the year

Our members will get the chance to ask one of the Chartered Institute of Export & International Trade’s leading experts questions on the GPSR in a handy, one-hour time slot.
