Lunchtimelearning

Lunchtime Learning: Safety & Security declarations

Member exclusive event

Duration:

1 Hour

Location:

Online Only

Start Date:

21 Jan 2025 12:00 pm

End Date:

21 Jan 2025 1:00 pm

Following last year’s introduction of sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) rules for EU imports under the first two phases of the Border Target Operating Model, 2025 will see the beginning of the third phase of the border plan, with safety and security (S&S) declarations becoming a requirement for all goods entering Britain.

From 31 January, UK importers will be required to complete S&S declarations on all goods imported from the EU.

Already completed for imports from the rest of the world, expanding S&S requirements should improve border security, preventing restricted, hazardous or illicit goods entering the UK.

Join one of the Chartered Institute’s trade and customs experts to learn how to submit an S&S declaration, what information is required and what businesses can do to be prepared ahead of 31 January.
