Proof of origin is one of the tricker aspects of customs and international trade. Many free trade deals require documentary proof to reduce tariff rates on products, and proving you qualify is crucial to ensuring you pay the correct tariff on exported goods.

Experts from the Chartered Institute will walk you through the key considerations of proving origin, including supply chain visibility and how to create optimal customs processes in your business, and answer any questions on this sometimes difficult topic.

Speakers:

Phil Adnett, senior content editor at the Chartered Institute

David Pothecary, technical consultant, Advisory at the Chartered Institute

When: 12:00 – 13:00 GMT, Thursday 21 May 2026

Where: Microsoft Teams

Delegates are invited to send questions in advance to editor@export.org.uk.
