The final stage of the Border Target Operating Model (BTOM) is almost here. From 31 October, imports into Great Britain from the EU and elsewhere will require a safety and security declaration.

There will also be a number of customs simplifications at the border to help traders move their goods into the UK quicker and cheaper than before.
