Expanded Controls via Export Control (Amendment) Regulations 2025
This special interest group provides members operating within the Export Control industry priority access to the latest information, policy updates, and education relevant to your sector and a network of like-minded individuals with whom you can discuss challenges and solutions to the issues impacting businesses.
The Export Control (Amendment) Regulations 2025 brought big changes to UK export rules. They have already added new controls on advanced technologies like semiconductors, quantum systems, and AI, aligned UK rules more closely with international standards, and increased penalties for non-compliance. The update also clarified definitions and adjusted rules on military and dual-use goods. This means that going forward in 2026, UK exporters will face stricter licensing requirements, longer compliance checks, and higher risks for errors. Companies that trade in high-tech or dual-use items will need stronger internal controls and early planning to avoid delays and penalties.
Join us on February 25th on our online Special Interest Group presentation to help understand best practices and receive early alerts to stay ahead of any new requirements.
