Our inaugural Automotive Special Interest Group (SIG) will give members an overview of the sector's trade priorities, with a key update from Alessandro Marongiu, senior trade policy manager at the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). Attendees also will get the chance to hear directly from Marongiu, as well as network with like-minded individuals, with whom they can discuss challenges and solutions to the issues impacting their businesses.

Alessandro Marongiu is Senior Trade Policy Manager at the SMMT. A policy adviser with more than 10 years' experience, he represents the interests of the UK automotive sector in domestic and international trade matters, including FTA negotiations, trade remedies and market access
issues. Before joining the SMMT, Alessandro worked as trade expert for the telecommunications industry and international trade think tanks. He holds a Master in International Law and Economics (MILE) from the World Trade Institute in Bern, Switzerland, and a Master in International Relations from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, Italy.
