Women in Trade Hub (WiTH UK)

Empowering Women in Global Trade

The Women in Trade Hub UK (WiTH UK) is a collaborative initiative led by the University of Warwick and the Chartered Institute of Export & International Trade. Our mission is to support and empower women at every stage of their international trade journey—from aspiring students to seasoned professionals and entrepreneurs.

Whether a student considering a future career in trade, a customs expert wanting to expand their network or an entrepreneur seeking advice to begin exporting, we are here to help!

The Women in Trade Hub UK is built around three core pillars designed to support women at every stage of their trade journey. These pillars reflect the real challenges women face and offer practical tools, connections, and resources to help them grow, succeed, and feel supported in international trade.

Our work focuses on three key pillars of support, based on feedback from women across the trade community:

Education and training

We know that upskilling makes all the difference in both career progression and business success. Tailored training is important, as is flexible learning, particularly for those with caring responsibilities.

Networking

Operating in international trade can sometimes feel lonely. Having a trusted network of people to go to for advice is imperative and informal mentoring opportunities often emerge.

Signposting

There are many great initiatives and partners which we want to signpost through the hub, whether funding opportunities, government webinars or regional networks.

Our mission is to support and empower women at every stage of their international trade journey - from aspiring students to seasoned professionals and entrepreneurs.
