The countdown is on for this year’s prestigious IOE Graduation and Prize Ceremony when students will gather in London along with leading figures from the world of business and international trade – to celebrate their achievements.

Among the graduates at London’s historic Mansion House on May 18 will be 79 students who have successfully passed the Certified International Trade Advisor (CITA) course and 15 from our ground-breaking two year-long Foundation Degree in Professional Practice in International Trade.

Students will also graduate from our Certificate in International Trade, Advanced Certificate in International Trade and Diploma in International Trade courses.

Key figures attending the event will include IOE President Jim Davis CBE, K(DK), Vice President Lord Empey OBE, Chairman Ian Taylor, Director General Lesley Batchelor OBE, a representative of the Lord Mayor of London and other dignitaries from the world of trade and industry.

A keynote speech will be made by Lord Empey, OBE and the vibrant event will reinforce how the IOE courses are internationally recognised and equip students with the necessary skills, knowledge and expertise to work in international trade.

The courses also improve students’ knowledge of the context of international trade – ensuring they are aware of the differing cultural aspects and ways of doing business.

Kevin Shakespeare, Director of Education said: “Our graduation ceremony enables us to recognise and acknowledge all of the hard work, dedication and commitment that our students have made whilst studying for their qualifications. Graduates attending the event will have the opportunity to meet fellow students, dignitaries and leading industry figures from the world of international trade.

“2014 saw an unprecedented rise in the number of students enrolling on our courses and as the UK’s economy continues its recovery, the skills gained by our graduates are more important now than ever before.”
