The Institute of Export & International Trade has worked with several overseas organisations to provide training in international trade through our team of experts.

European Bank of Reconstruction & Development

training in Kiev

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) awarded the IOE&IT a high-profile contract to equip its business support consultants with the skills to help SMEs to realise their international trading ambitions.

EBRD’s ambitious Export Strategy Development and Training initiative recruited the IOE&IT's team of experts to give consultants the knowledge and skills to help local companies they are working with to develop an export market entry plan.

Through the EBRD programme our experts have delivered training in:

  • Georgia
  • Ukraine
  • Kyrgyzstan
  • Tajikistan
  • Kosovo
  • Macedonia
  • Mongolia

Saudi Arabia Export Development Authority

Arne in Saudi

The Institute was awarded a contract to deliver export training and qualifications to students from the Saudi Export Development Authority.  Throughout 2018 our team of experts visited the students in Riyadh, providing training and tutoring. In total, 10 students passed the Level 5 Diploma in International Trade and 35 students completed the Level 3 Certificate in International Trade.

Moldova students

Around 20 exporters and business development specialists from Moldova and the Transnistria region undertook the Institute of Export & International Trade’s Certificate in International Trade qualification, as part of a capacity and confidence building project funded by the European Union, and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme.

The students completed the qualification in less than 5 months, instead of the standard duration of approximately 18 months, despite studying alongside their regular work and business commitments. Even more amazingly, students completed the qualification in English, despite this being their second, or even third language.

Despite the challenging circumstances, all students completed the learning programme, achieving sound marks - we had no less than 2 distinctions and 4 credits, a very high proportion in any cohort
