The Institute of Export & International Trade is running a one-hour webinar this Thursday advising businesses on how to mitigate the impact of Covid-19 on their international trading.

The webinar is being run as part of its free SME service, Open to Export, and will feature practical tips and guidance from Kevin Shakespeare, the IOE&IT’s Director of Stakeholder Engagement.

It will start at 14:00 on Thursday and you can sign up for free here.

The session will cover:

  • Impacts on trade and supply chains
  • Specific business impacts
  • The changing nature of supply chains
  • Steps that businesses should consider, from a trade perspective
  • The importance of professionalisation and training

Over 500 businesses already registered

Since being announced last Friday, 500 people have already signed up to the webinar. There is a capacity of 1000 for Open to Export webinars.

A recording will be uploaded to the IOE&IT’s members area and the Open to Export website before the end of the week.

Registrants can also ask questions during the webinar or in advance while registering.

Businesses are advised that the webinar will only handle general questions that are relevant to the broader audience on the line, rather than company specifics.

If you do have company-specific questions for our experts about the impact of Covid-19, it is advised that the IOE&IT’s ‘Technical Helpline’ for members is running as normal throughout the outbreak.
