We’re delighted to announce two brilliant speakers for two of international trade’s most prestigious annual events this autumn.
Speaking at the Queen’s Awards Winners Gala Dinner on September 27 will be Cathy Newman, the first female co-anchor on Channel 4 News and one of the nation’s most recognisable and popular journalists. Having also regularly written on politics and business for The Telegraph, Financial Times and a number of high profile political magazines, Cathy will certainly have plenty to say about the UK’s dealings with the world in trade and politics.
A regular panelist on shows like Have I Got News For You, we’re looking forward to hearing her wit first hand at what is always a great evening of celebration with the winners of the Queen’s Award for Enterprise – a prestigious accolade awarded for outstanding achievements by some of the UK’s most innovative businesses.
It has also been confirmed that Michael Portillo will be speaking at our annual Members’ Dinner on November 8th. Since serving as a cabinet minister and MP for over three decades, Michael has often been described as the greatest leader the Conservative party never had and remains an insightful and precise political commentator. He’s gone on to become an accomplished and prolific broadcaster, loved for his many BBC documentary series on railways and for his appearances on political discussion show This Week.
We’re certainly looking forward to having such a renowned keynote speaker at what is always a fabulous evening celebrating all the year’s achievements and hard work in international trade. This event will highlight the success of the Institute and is both a celebration and a way to recognise its members' dedication to professionalism in international trade.
