John Bercow reinforces importance of international trade qualifications

Rt Hon John Bercow MP, Speaker of the House of Commons and MP for Buckingham, has recognised the importance of international qualifications for British businesses when he presented an employee from his constituency with a certificate from the Institute of Export (IOE).

Marie Griffiths, International Trade Compliance Specialist at McCormick – a global leader in flavour – was awarded the Institute’s Certificate in International Trade which focuses on key areas including international business, international trade management and transportation and documentation.

The event was held at the Technical Innovation Centre of McCormick’s headquarters for Europe, Middle-East and Africa based in Haddenham, Buckingham.

The Rt Hon John Bercow MP said: “Congratulations to Marie – it is uplifting to see companies such as McCormick investing in developing its employees and enhancing their skills in exporting and international trade. My constituency boasts a vibrant business community and it is extremely positive there is a concerted drive to embed international qualifications into businesses like McCormick which trades across the globe.”

Marie said: “I am grateful to McCormick and the Institute of Export for helping and supporting me towards achieving the certificate. The course has furthered my knowledge in International Trade and will help my future career development”.
