Other career highlights include her appointment as Lead Subject Matter Expert for the NASBITE (North American Small Business International Trade Educators) Certified Global Business Professional Exam (CGBP TM) while living in USA.  Cynthia’s expertise was instrumental in the launch and development of the CGBP TM.

Institute of Export Director General Lesley Batchelor says: “A great champion of promoting international trade, Cynthia’s extensive experience spans key areas including identifying economic, political and cultural risks and mitigation techniques, international contracts under a variety of jurisdictions and trade finance. Her status as Fellow recognises the invaluable help and support that Cynthia has given the Institute over the years.”

Fellows are elected by their peers for their outstanding achievements, eminence in the course of their employment in international business or in overseas related trade and/or who have made an outstanding contribution to the Institute.

Added Cynthia: “Embedding professionalism in to international trade – and supporting the interests of everyone involved in trading globally, importing and exporting – is at the heart of the IOE’s ethos and mission.  From encouraging school students at career fairs to training exporters at the Institute, Chambers of Commerce and other professional associations such as IACCM, APMP and the Institute of Linguists, it has been a privilege to have played a role in the Institute’s journey as it has evolved to be a recognised leader providing a comprehensive, and expanding, suite of qualifications to equip businesses and individuals with the skills and learning to enable them to maximise the wealth of opportunities in exporting and international trade.”
