Our director general, Lesley Batchelor, will join keynote speakers at a ground breaking exhibition and conference designed to help businesses harness best practice when trading internationally.

Global Enterprise Mobility, Workforce and Travel Management Exhibition and Conference is being held for the first time this year and will run alongside Going Global at London’s Excel on May 15-16.

Three thousand businesses will visit Going Global – a unique, free of charge event tailored specifically towards British companies seeking to expand internationally, export products – or set up overseas operations.

Offering attendees the opportunity to learn the best ways to succeed in the BRICS nations (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa), MENA (Middle East and North Africa), the Gulf Region, Africa and Europe – Going Global features free seminars, workshops, expert speakers, live demonstrations, networking, master classes and panel debates.

Addressing delegates at Global Enterprise Mobility on the skills gap in international trade, Lesley will join fellow speakers Mark Beatson, chief economist CIPD, Larry Klimczyk, of Enterprise Mobility Network and John Delaney of International Data Corporation (IDC).

The Director General will give her valuable insights into exporting at Going Global where she will present alongside speakers including Kevin McCole of UK India Business Council, John Reed of Exportaid and Sarah Boumphrey of Countries & Consumers.

Both events are being run in conjunction with The Business Show and are expected to attract at least 7,000 key decision makers.

Lesley commented: “The many demands on businesses these days to trade internationally means that sometimes the skills needed to move on to the next stage of market penetration are neglected. My presentations will give SMEs planning to export some top tips, outline some of the pit falls – and highlight how they can be profitable when trading internationally.”

The IOE will be delighted to speak with potential and existing exporters at Going Global and welcomes visitors to stand 3752. Register here for your tickets to Going Global and here for Global Mobility. Attendees can also gain free access to The Business Show which is being held next door.

The timings of both events are: Thursday May 15 10am-6pm and Friday May 16 10am-5pm.
