From January 2010 all ACIT and DIT modules will no longer be assessed by a 3 hour End Test in June and/or December but will be by the Continual Assessment method where openly researched reports are to be submitted in January and/or June of each year. Each module is to be in 2 parts which will require 2 reports that can be written concurrently, or if more suitable for the individual, at separate sitting. Any number of modules can be taken in any one sitting . Each report is to be of 1800 words for ACIT, a total of 3600 per module with the DIT requiring 2000 words for each, totalling 4000 words per module. The report setting and marking criteria will be available to students some weeks in advance of the submission date, allowing sufficient time for full research to be completed. A practice paper at ACIT level will be available by mid-October - access details will be sent out soon.
